Help ensure students use resources systematically to meet learning and curricular objectives
Choice of Evidence:
Information Seeking Behaviors of Young Adults
Lesson Plan - Plants
Reference Lesson
Evidence:
I chose my information seeking behavior paper to demonstrate my research in looking at my demographic in order to better serve their needs, and two lesson plans to show that I can collaborate with other teachers as well as motivate and guide students in developing reading, listening, enjoyment of literature, and critical thinking skills.
Learning Reflection:
I am a teacher before I am anything else. While the standards are nice guidelines, as a teacher librarian, I feel I am there to help encourage my students to be inquisitive and love to read. I love collaborating with other teachers when I can and have come up with some pretty amazing lessons; the above lesson on plants stemmed from a yearly lesson I do with a 6th grade teacher that bridges narrative and exposition.
